John Steinbeck’s Cannery Row
Take time out to enjoy all the unique specialty shops, restaurants and family-friendly entertainment. Kayak or paddle your way out into the “wilds” of Monterey Bay while you are there! The area around Cannery Row is also a marine sanctuary and is home to many California Sea Lions. Lots to see and do!

Laguna Seca
The Monterey Peninsula is also the home of Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca and the Laguna Seca Recreation Area. A variety of racing, exhibition and entertainment events are held at Laguna Seca to include the U.S. Sports Car Invitational, Monterey Sports Car Championships, Monterey Historics for classic racecars, and the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix featuring both the MotoGP World Championship and the U.S. AMA Superbike Series.
